KAUF Radio-Over a third of Arkansans rent their homes, and Northwest Arkansas lacks affordable and available housing. Although there is a fair amount of reporting on Arkansas landlord-tenant laws, not everyone knows the extent of their rights. Ozarks at Large’s Anna Pope spoke with a few housing experts to talk about unique Arkansas laws and how they impact tenants’ and renters’ rights.

KARV- Credit discrimination

Attorney Cecille Doan, from our Little Rock office, talks with KARV (93.1 FM) radio host Johnny Story about how low-income populations face credit discrimination in regards to being able to obtain financing for their cars, homes, credit cards, and more. BUT it's not just low-income populations but pretty much all members of the protected class-- sex, marital status, age, disability, sexual orientation, and so on. When those populations can't obtain good financing, they have to resort to financing from predatory lenders, which charge outrageous fees and high interest.
