If you are the recipient of any benefit under a Medicaid program, e.g., ARHOME, ARChoices, or ARKids, then don’t forget to contact the Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS) to update your contact information. DHS is currently in the process of redetermining eligibility for beneficiaries. The redetermination process requires DHS to obtain updated financial eligibility information. If DHS has outdated contact information and is unable to contact a member to obtain updated financial information, it’s possible that the member’s coverage will end.
Medicaid beneficiaries have the RIGHT TO APPEAL most adverse actions taken by the Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS). Adverse actions can include denials of coverage, reductions in services, or even terminations of your Medicaid benefits. If you feel that an adverse action has been taken unfairly, you have the right to appeal.
